The RCWL-0516 is a small, inexpensive sensor that uses microwave radar to detect the presence of moving objects. The sensor works by emitting a beam of microwaves and then detecting the Doppler shift in the reflected waves as objects move past. This sensor can be a good alternative to PIR motion sensors.
